Ellie Ahi, President and Chief Web Architect

Ellie Ahi founded LocalElse(2006) and KidSited (in 2009 aka LocalElseKids) personal search engines after becoming frustrated with the inability to quickly find relevant local services and vendors using traditional search engines. As chief web architect and visionary, Ms. Ahi has driven the development of KidSited as a Marketplace for Kids, Educators , and Educational venues. Prior to founding LocalElse and KidSited, she held a variety of increasingly responsible positions at SkyStream Networks (Tandberg Television), including Director of software, Web Application (awarded with two patents), and system architect for Skystream satellite routers and digital media processing (Video Over IP) products. Prior to SkyStream, Ellie spent more than ten years as a senior software manager at a variety of innovative Silicon Valley companies, including Sigma Designs Inc.

Mrs. Ahi holds patents in the areas of network and multicast management, web search technology and web engineering and has authored a number of highly regarded papers in network security, servers, wireless web browsers, VoIP over wireless networks and search engine performance.
She is an active technical member of the Keiretsu Forum (Angel VCs) in Silicon Valley and heads KidSited Endowment , the philanthropic arm of KidSited.
She is a Professor at Santa Clara University - Global Project Development Management - Off-shoring vs. In-Sourcing vs. Near-Sourcing. She has published a book in April 2009, which has empowering words for Youth, Educators and Business men and women of 21st Century, called "Outsourcing Everything But the Kitchen Sink: Empowering Americans Through Education and Innovation" - Published and Available at Amazon.
